<p>As part of their investigation into model Tania Singh’s alleged suicide, police are looking into her association with Sunrisers Hyderabad footballer Abhishek Sharma. Preliminary investigations point to a link between the two, according to a Surat police officer’s statement on Wednesday. As a result, officials have sent Abhishek Sharma a summons to appear for interrogation.</p>

<p>On Monday, Tanya Singh, 28, was discovered hanging from her apartment’s ceiling in the Vesu neighborhood of the city. Since there was no suicide note found at the site, detectives have had to piece together what happened before and after her death.</p>
<p>“This much is known about Abhishek Sharma and the dead model’s friendship so far. The probe will reveal further information, according to Assistant Commissioner of Police VR Malhotra.</p>
<p>The data from Singh’s phone’s Call Detail Records (CDR) and IP Detail Records (IPDR) are presently being verified by the authorities. According to a preliminary inquiry, Sharma did not get a response from the model when he sent him a message on WhatsApp.</p>
<p>“After verification, we may call the persons whose names come up during verification for recording their statements, if required,” said ACP Malhotra.</p>
<p>At the Vesu police station, an accidental death case was reported, and an investigation is still in progress.</p>

Abhishek Sharma is an all-rounder who competes in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Sunrisers Hyderabad. After being acquired by the Delhi Capitals for ₹55 lakh in the auction, Sharma began his IPL debut with the team. In 2019, he was traded to the Sunrisers Hyderabad, and in the 2022 mega auction, the Hyderabad-based team paid an incredible ₹6.5 crore to get him back.</p>
